Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Optional: pinch of cayenne

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
  • Arrange bacon in a single layer. Brush with maple syrup and sprinkle with brown sugar, pepper, and cayenne if using.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until deeply caramelized. Let cool 5 min before serving.
